Romania had gone from being a moderate liberal communist country to one of the most strict and severe communist countries inside the USSR.
After Dictator Nicolae Ceausescu took trips to North Korea, Vietnam, Mongolia, and China in 1971, Ceaușescu was inspired to adopt new laws prohibiting all "foreign ideas", as well as culture judged contrary to socialist values.
Ceaușescu spent the last two decades of his reign furiously clamping down on freedom of speech and culture, but the more he controlled and censored, the more pushback he received.
By the first half of the 80s, Romanians were only able to access two hours of television each day — mainly political propaganda.
Depriving a nation of knowledge and information from the world outside was central to Ceaușescu's strategy to subdue his people, but…
December 20th, 1989, Ceaușescu attempted to give a speech broadcast live over TV, but the crowd would not have it…
The people watching him witnessed the power shift in real-time, from the heavy-handed dictator, and back to the people!
The protestors that took over the television studios began broadcasting the newly dubbed "Live Romanian Revolution" and declared live that Ceaușescu and his government were no longer in power, and that was it…
The Revolution Was Televised
Ceaușescu and his wife tried to flee the country but were arrested and handed over to the army, on Christmas eve, after a short military tribunal, the man who had ruled Romania with an iron fist for over 20 years, was dead, and with it, so was communism.
Ok, so great story right? You love hearing how the people win and authoritarians fail right?
But… I am supposed to tell you how we actually build wealth through this process, so…
Let's do that!
| | How This Happened and Who Profited | | As the communist dictator, Nicholae Ceausescu outlawed the possession and distribution of western films, it didn't extinguish the wants and desires for this entertainment and information.
Making laws or prohibiting something doesn't change the desires of the people and no matter how strict or harsh the laws and controls, the demand will be there and someone will supply that need.
Just think about all the contraband in prisons, cell phones, wine, cigarettes, and drugs. All illegal with harsh penalties yet all prevalent throughout the prison system, traded daily like its own form of currency.
In Romania during this harsh ban on media, the desire was not extinguished either, and one entrepreneur rose to the challenge.
Teodor Zamfir saw the demand and wanted to create an underground market smuggling western films into the country and translating and dubbing them into Romanian.
The demand for these films grew fast!
And, as the people were exposed to western ideals and culture, their eyes were opened to the extent of their own oppression.
The seeds of freedom planted by those films grew, as did the demand for the films.
As Zamfir continued to build this underground network, he became one of the wealthiest, most powerful, and most influential men in Romania because of this.
In an interview with he gave in 2015, he explained how instrumental his films and the information he was providing were to the eventual revolution in Romania.
"During the 1989 revolution, everybody was in the streets because they all knew there was a better life out there. How? From films." - Teodor Zamfir
The Takeaway Lesson: The market needed goods and services that fit their demands. An entrepreneur found a way to deliver the goods to the market. This information allowed the people to wake up and see the truth Zamfir became one of the most wealthy and powerful men in Romania He also brought freedom back to millions of people

Depending on how you see the voting numbers in the last election, somewhere between 50-75% of the US population, and similar in other countries like we just saw in Brazil, or in France where Macron almost lost, in the UK, Italy and everywhere else it's the same…
Billions of people want change and cannot get it in the political arena so…
WE Must give it to them in the economy, we must give them the option to vote with their money!
This global silent majority is sick and tired of giving money to companies that use it against them, and don't align with their values, so we need entrepreneurs like you to create new businesses that do align with their values.
They want it and want it badly and anyone with the guts to stand up against the lies, and build a company that shares values with this base will absolutely blow up, it's the biggest blue ocean opportunity of the rest of this decade.

I can't change mainstream media and communication channels, but I have started my own media networks and invested into new communication channels. So many opportunities like: Personal channels; YouTube, Rumble, Podcasts, Blogs Media companies, and studios; Reese Witherspoon sold hers for almost $1B Social media alternatives, I invested into a new censorship-resistant platform Privacy / Dissident tech: as censorship grows, new tech will be needed
Finance:
I can't change wall street or central banking, but I can and have pulled most of my money out and put it outside their reach and control, and there are so many opportunities: Education around finance like my channel and others Investing and Money courses, education, training, coaching Gold / Bitcoin services; consulting, sales, storage, payment apps, services, etc… Asset Management: competitors to BlackRock and Vanguard are needed, like Strive
Health:
I can't change the FDA and medical complex but I don't rely on them any longer and seek out my own doctors and my own health regimen and millions of others are doing the same, so many opportunities here: Doctors focusing on functional medicine, concierge, specialties Health treatments; ozone, chelation, supplements, diet programs, etc Education; main stream health has people so confused, coaches are needed Health consultants
There are millions of ideas within those big niche legacy areas that are ready to be, need to be disrupted. | | We need Market Disruptors to rise up! | | Ok, how about some more examples?
