Mid year checkup (and down 30 pounds)

Hi 2022 money makers,

How's August going for you? Things are good here.

With some of the real estate market coming down, we've started actively looking at land again. Not making any moves, but just watching. Maybe things will come down some more?

My goal for a rescue farm will happen some day!

In other personal news, I've lost 30 pounds this year. After years on a medication that has caused me to gain weight, I feel much more in control. 👊

It certainly didn't fall off, but I'm hoping to drop another 20 by end of the year. I'm not doing anything extreme, except walking, increasing my steps and lifting some dumbbells I keep by my desk.

Work is busy. There are so many opportunities right now and I feel very fortunate.

One work rule I implemented early last year was the choice to work less and reduce stress, even if it meant a ding in the business.

In reality, the opposite has happened. Things are shaping up for this to be the best year ever, which is weird because it doesn't feel like it. 🤷‍♀️

I am noticeably working less but all the systems we have hustled with and worked on over the years are really paying off now. 🙌

I also finally upgraded my electronics. My laptop and desktop both made it 7 years and I recently replaced both, which was very exciting.

They were with me from the very start of my business and we've been through a lot together lol. 🙃 Now they are retired and resting incase I need a backup.

My dog bakery conference is next month, yay! I am so excited. There are 2 tickets left 🙊 and then we are sold out.

Speaking of Diva Dog Bakery, we've got a brand new logo to share, we're almost done moving to a different email platform, the new website comes out this fall and the list goes on and on.

I love this kind of change as it's all a step up for the business but also a way better experience for our pet audience.

Finally, we interviewed Brien on the blog. We've shared a lot of interviews this year of successful business owners, and Brien offers Facebook ads to niche businesses.

Have a great week!

-Kristin
